Los Santos Police Department
City jurisdiction and the highest call volume on the server. If you want constant work, back-to-back calls and a partner two blocks away, this is the department.

Los Santos Sheriff’s Department
County and unincorporated San Andreas — Blaine County, Sandy Shores, Paleto. Dirt roads and ranch country, warrant service and prisoner transport, with county-wide authority that follows a scene wherever it runs to.

San Andreas Highway Patrol
State highways and interstates. The fastest fleet on the server and the most pursuit work — along with the collision investigation and commercial vehicle enforcement that comes with owning the roads.

The federal agencies aren’t open enrolment. They unlock through a paid pack from the store, and they run their own rank ladders.
Federal Investigations Bureau
The federal investigators. Where a patrol unit works the call in front of them, the FIB works the case behind it — organised crime, bank jobs, kidnapping, public corruption and anything that crosses a state line. Long-running investigations rather than back-to-back calls.

United States Marshals Service
Manhunters. The Marshals are the oldest federal law enforcement agency in the United States, and the ones who go after fugitives — people who have skipped bail, escaped custody or have a federal warrant out. They also handle prisoner transport, witness protection and court security.
Deputy Marshal → Senior Deputy Marshal → Supervisory Inspector → Assistant Chief Deputy.
United States Secret Service
Two jobs, and the second one surprises people. Protection is the famous half — close protection for officials, dignitaries and motorcades. The other half is financial crime: the Secret Service was founded in 1865 to hunt counterfeiters, and still works counterfeiting, fraud and cyber-financial crime today.

Rank is earned in hours, not applications.
Clock in on the MDT and your time on duty is banked against that department. Promotions are automatic at the thresholds below, and each department tracks its hours separately.

Lieutenant is the top rank the ladder awards. Master Lieutenant and
Department Supervisor sit above it and are granted by hand, not earned

Specialist units unlock by level.
Sub-divisions aren’t applications or tryouts — the aircraft, bikes and tactical kit are gated on your level, which you earn on patrol. Level 250 is the ceiling.

Air Unit
Helicopter support and the flight suit. Three airframes across 120–136.
Bike Unit
Motorcycle patrol, 145–161. SAHP carries the motor uniform.
Speed Enforcement
Dedicated traffic interceptors, 215 through 247.
SWAT
The final unlock — all five Brute Centurions, plus SWAT and SEB kit.
